Upcoming decks I’m excited for in 2025

So, here is my top 5 upcoming decks (mass market only) list.

All the decks to follow will become available in the first half of the year and I’m pleased to say that this time I am excited for decks from both Llewellyn and US Games Inc. This year there’s an oracle on the list as well. I’ll start with that one and then move on to the four tarot decks.

Forest of Enchantment Oracle

Okay well this one is a no brainer for me. I have been watching its progress on Instagram for a while now with growing enthusiasm. I am a fan of Meraylah Allwood’s artwork. Actually that downplays it quite a bit. I should say I’m in awe of her work because of the detail she manages to capture in such small paintings. The Forest of Enchantment Tarot will always be in my top 10. Meraylah has teamed up with Lunaea Weatherstone again so I’m sure the book will be a good read as well. Even though I’m not sure how I’ll integrate the keywords, I’m sure Lunaea will shed some light on them. Either way, this deck will be a welcome addition to my collection when it becomes available on 1st July.

The Hedgewitch Tarot

I am not familiar with Tudor Beth’s writing although I can see she is a prolific author and her books review very well so I’m keen to read what she has to say about the cards. And, I like the way Angela Rizza’s artwork portrays the card’s message. For example, I like that on the Eight of Cups she is emptying the cups rather than just walking away from them. Overall I’m interested to see the creator’s approach to the tarot. If you like seasonal decks, this one may well appeal as the Minors are created with the seasons in mind. Or if like my, you like nature inspired decks then you might be interested int his one too.

Llewellyn has said the release date for this deck will be 1st June.

Unbridled Spirit Tarot

Okay, yes this was on last year’s list but since it won’t be released until March this year it belongs here. I’m excited to own my first horse themed deck in the next couple of months. I’m keen to see how the collaboration between Tina Tack Anderson and Dianita, both horsewomen, comes together. At least now I can show you some of the cards.

The Magicmakers Tarot

This is Paulina Fae’s latest deck. It is due for release by US Games Inc in April. If you’ve read my post on the Joie de Vivre Tarot, you’ve probably figured that this is the deck that inspired me to work with it. In turn, revisiting the Joie de Vivre Tarot has made me even more enthusiastic about this deck. I like that it appears to have the brighter, less busy artwork as seen on the Spiritsong Tarot and the Joie de Vivre Tarot rather than the approach she took in the Paulina Tarot which at this stage still doesn’t call to me.

Allcento Tarot

Last but not least is the Allcentro Tarot. This deck piqued my interest because it’s said to take its inspiration from early Marseille and Minchiate tarot decks and combine them with modern incarnations. Add to that numerology, Qabala, what is claimed to be hidden and forgotten knowledge, and twenty-two additional cards and I’m even more curious to explore what this deck has to offer. US Games Inc is releasing this deck by Michael J Auger in April so not too long to wait.

Llewellyn has recently uploaded decks listed for release in October but as yet most don’t have photos. Once they do, I’ll put together a 2025 part two post. I’m excited to see they are re-releasing the Crystal Tarot but I’ll hold off on writing about that until images are uploaded.
