Oracle Decks

The Sacred Creators Oracle

I’m surprised it took me this long to come to this deck. As a creative who loves words it’s a perfect match. Fortunately I discovered it by chance on You Tube but to be honest, initially it was the accompanying book that caught my attention. I didn’t realise when I bought The Sacred Creators Oracle for myself that the book I saw only came with the Kickstarter version. So, I was a tad disappointed. After an unsuccessful search online I returned to my deck and discovered I shouldn’t have been so impatient. If I’d just pulled my cards out of the box before I reacted, I would have discovered the QR code that was to connect me with a world of wonderful resources. Note to self for the second time today – be grateful for what you have rather than worrying about what you don’t. I had what I needed all along. Hopefully I’ve internalised this message this time.

The Sacred Creators Oracle Deck

The Sacred Creators Oracle is inspirational, supportive and encouraging. It’s the perfect antidote to creative and business self doubt and I wish I had discovered it sooner. In the space of a couple of days it has encouraged me to start a new creative venture that I’d only previously dreamt of considering. So yes, I’m a fan. I think because most importantly, it shows you a way forward in a clear and simple, yet quite profound, manner. That’s its magic.

There’s no question about whether you’ve interpreted the message correctly. It either asks you a direct question or makes a statement and the rest is up to you. However, don’t be alarmed. If you’re not sure where to go the guidebook gives you a gentle, though not so subtle, nudge in the right direction.

This deck seeks to deepen your connections with your intuitive self, your Higher self, and your subconscious self. We may all see these various selves in numerous ways so put simply I would say that this deck aims to increase your connection to your inner wisdom, what drives you, and your own pure power. How good is that? It seeks to connect your intuitive and logical sides and I believe it is perfectly suited to do just that. It serves as a launch pad. You create the Magic!

The cards are numbered and I discovered along the way that the first 22 align closely with the tarot Major Arcana. For example, some of the cards I have featured here are 07 Choose who you are becoming aligns with The Chariot; 04 You are Epic with The Emperor; 10 Changes with The Wheel of Fortune; 02 Overrate your intuition with The High Priestess (love that message); and 20 What’s your honest truth with Judgment (I got called on that one twice in quick succession). I really like this idea for three reasons. Firstly because I’m so comfortable with tarot, secondly because I feel it connects the two and thirdly because each adds another layer to the other.

Chris-Anne has also created The Light Seers Tarot and The Muse Tarot so I’m sure this oracle will work well with them. They definitely look great alongside either deck, though I’m sure they will work well with most decks. (NB I did a reading combining all three in regards to the new creative project I’ll be undertaking and they worked together really well. In case you’re wondering, I used The Light Seers to clarify the Muse Tarot rather than straight out combining the two decks as I’ve seen some people do.)

The cards have beautiful, yet simple water colour backgrounds that utilise the full colour palette with colouring ranging from muted earthy tones to bright yellows, oranges, blues, greens and red. For the most part, the text is written in either black or white. Black and gold is used for the font on the four elemental cards also included as part of this deck.

This is a 67 card deck printed on matt card stock that’s thinner than the usual Hay House card stock. It’s nice to shuffle however, like most matt card stock, it doesn’t fan smoothly. At 7 x 12cm it measures the same as the Light Seers and Muse Tarots so you could combine them if you felt that way inclined. And, it comes attractively packaged in a sturdy two part box.

The Sacred Creators Oracle Book

The 147 page, card size book is said to be a more compact version of the original and yet it definitely doesn’t feel underdone. It opens with a warm welcome and continues in that vein throughout. After the welcome, it moves on to guide you through ideas on how to work with the cards. In explaining the cards themselves, rather than giving upright and reversed position meanings, they’re referred to as “essential meanings” and “self-care messages”. I like that touch. It feels more approachable. The messages here are well framed without skirting what needs to be addressed. For example, “What’s your honest truth,” (a card I became a little too acquainted with), suggests “A need to peel back the many layers of your own truth, holding on to masks for protection, a true dive into your own heart with love and compassion, a need to pay closer attention to the shadow aspect of your story, areas where you may be denying your truest desires and your true essence.”

For each card, the expanded message concludes with a series of questions for you to ponder. Here’s where a journal is invaluable. The final section of the book explains the Elemental cards and suggests ways you can work with them. There’s also a brief About Chris-Anne section to round out the book. As I’ve already mentioned, if you want to access additional resources you can do so using the QR code provided in the box.

Spreads

There are 6 spreads included under an awesome heading – Badass Biz and Life Creator Spreads. That title really nails the essence of this deck. The spreads are:

  • Mantra/Daily advice (1 card)
  • Flow Spread (2 cards)
  • My Personal Journey of Deep Healing Spread (3 cards)
  • 3 x 3 Focus Forecast Spread (3 cards)
  • Abundance Spread (4 cards)
    • I love the subheading for this spread – “Dear Universe tell me what I’m rockin’ and remind me what I’m blockin’!” It’s a great reminder that this entire process should be fun and enjoyable. We don’t have to drown out the joy by taking ourselves too seriously, in order to achieve the insights we seek.
  • The Money Energetics Spread (6 cards)

I have no doubt this deck is going to take up a very special position in my life and in my heart, so of course I’m going to recommend it to you if you’re even slightly drawn to it. I thought I’d let the message printed on the inside of the box have the last word so you can decide if you can relate or not. If you can then I would say this deck is for you.

You are a sacred creator, and you can build the life of your dreams. Wishing you so much success and joy on your creator journey.
